Trump Forms Tech Leadership Council with Zuckerberg, Huang, and Industry Titans
President Donald Trump has assembled a powerhouse advisory council comprising 13 top technology executives, including Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia's Jensen Huang, and AMD's Lisa Su. The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will focus on shaping policy for artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, and emerging technologies.
The council’s formation comes as Chinese firms accelerate their AI advancements, prompting the Trump administration to leverage private-sector expertise for regulatory agility and innovation acceleration. Co-chaired by White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks and OSTP Director Michael Kratsios, the group includes Oracle’s Larry Ellison, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, and venture capitalist Marc Andreessen.
This marks a contrast to Trump’s first-term advisory efforts, which faced tech industry resistance and lacked such high-profile participation. The move signals a strategic push to align cutting-edge technological development with national policy objectives.
